Vilamoura to Vale do Lobo sea side walk

The rough patch of land in front of the Forte Novo beach is being transformed into a beautiful garden and board walk.

The area which is in between A Gaivota Beach restaurant at the end of Quarteira promenade and the Forte Novo restaurant has lain fallow for many years but now with a major re model the area will receive a lift.

Recently there has been an ongoing programme to extend the beach side walking route from Vilamoura Marina through to Quarteira and onwards towards Vale do Lobo. A very pleasant way to gain some exercise and fresh sea air. 

Vilamoura marina to Vale do Lobo along the edge of the sea is approximately 5 km, the first 3 kms now having a firm walking surface, the remainder requiring walking on the beach.
