Fatacil 2012 Algarve

If you are visiting the Algarve and looking for things to do today sees the start of the  33rd edition of the Fatacil Festival, celebrating the heritage of the region.

Children and adults alike can enjoy the exhibitions, demonstrations, shops, food and concerts, featuring the best in handicraft, agriculture and the traditions of the Algarve. The craft area  focuses on live demonstrations of local artists. In the agriculture area, producers of sweets, dairy products, sausages, citrus fruit, dried fruit, honey, cork, canned fish and wine give greater insight, and samples, of their products.

Fatacil 2012 pays tribute to two of Portugal’s beloved traditions, horses and fado. A special presentation of horses, riders, singers and guitarists provide a unique show blending the two arts.

Concerts by popular Portuguese entertainers are also planned, including José Cid, David Carreira, Amor Electro, Aurea, Paulo Gonzo and more.
